Dawn Landes has released a new, family-based EP Catch a Little Sun, inspired by her son Wright. This collection is a companion to the 2019 album My Tiny Twilight, which was inspired by her daughter.

In August, Landes will take to the road in Europe as special guest of Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, with stops in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, concluding with a headline London show at The Golden Hinde.

Catch a Little Sunskilfully blends Americana, Folk and children’s music whilst exploring themes of wonder, adventure, nature, parenting and the joy in small things. Produced alongside Joseph Terrell (Mipso), the EP is a “family affair” featuring Landes’ husband, Creighton Irons, and her children on vocals.

Dawn Landes is an acclaimed North Carolina-based singer, songwriter, and performer whose versatile career spans celebrated solo albums, global tours, and innovative musical theatre projects. Known for her compelling and haunting vocals, she has earned praise from outlets like NPR, Spin, Uncut, The Sun, CMP, Americana-UK, RNR and KLOF, while amassing a worldwide audience. Her diverse body of work includes the 10th-anniversary tour of her celebrated album Bluebird and the Audible-released musical Row, which tells the story of Tori Murden McClure. Landes also explores the depth of childhood through family-focused projects like the 2019 album My Tiny Twilight and her new EP, Catch a Little Sun, and traces the Women’s Rights Movement with her powerful The Liberated Woman’s Songbook album and shows. Recently, she has spearheaded the “Well, I Declare” project, a musical response to the Declaration of Independence that showcases her commitment to blending historical relevance with timeless folk and rock traditions.
