The Americana Music Association UK (AMA-UK) has entered a new phase following a hiatus in 2025 and a re-set in 2026. With a new leadership team in place and plans to build its membership and presence across all UK regions, this first event aims to gather the Americana community in championing a genre which is very much alive and thriving in 2027.
For more than a decade, the AMA-UK’s flagship UK Americana Music Week event has set the pace for the genre’s UK community as well as attracting international artists and delegates with a packed industry conference, a showcase festival and a marquee awards ceremony. The ambition is to build back to a similar footprint in 2028, with the 2027 event being the first step in a longer-term plan.
“We can’t wait to share a fantastic evening of music next January and are thrilled to be joined by Steve Earle, Frazey Ford, Kezia Gill, Elles Bailey and Jonny Morgan & The Moral Support. As we begin a new chapter for the Association, our aim is to consolidate our ground-breaking achievements so far, re-build our January event into a world-class centrepiece and expand our activities across the UK.” said Kristen Neilson, AMA-UK Leadership Team
