London based Savannah Gardner, who was born in New Jersey and raised in California but has a UK passport through her British parents, has this weekend been competing on behalf of the UK at ‘The Olympics of Country Music’ in Marshall, Texas, USA.

After taking home the prestigious prize of Female Vocalist of the Year at the Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards, Savannah told Country Lowdown:-

‘I’m very proud to be representing the UK in Texas! Music is my heart and soul – so to be recognised for it over here is pretty awesome’.

This award is the culmination of several years of hard work as an independent singer-songwriter which started in the USA and continued as Savannah ‘found her people’ after moving to the UK about 8 years ago. Everybody at Country Lowdown is thrilled for Savannah and we send her our most heartfelt congratulations and wish her continued success for the future!Savannah is pictured here with Sarah Farrell, the founder of She Interacts, a live music and artist booking venture.
