The first of a two gig day, both in the afternoon, on Thursday 20th August 2026 was an all too short half hour set beginning at 2pm. The venue was the Gibson Garage London in Soho and, as always, it was lovely to see Isi and Lewis Folkner of Two Ways Home, this time playing with guitarist Michael Clancy.

As is always the way here the musicians are obliged to, and enjoy, using Gibson instruments whilst here and Isi had to improvise, from string (!), a strap for the mandolin. Sounding as good as ever they played songs from their 2026 album ‘Patience To Play’, now available on limited edition eco-vinyl which looked absolutely beautiful.

Really lovely to get the opportunity to chat to Isi and Lewis afterwards too, such nice people. Get tickets now for their ‘Better Together’ tour with Katy Hurt in October and November – this will be a unique experience as they’ll be forming a band together, rather than playing separately, and playing a couple of new songs written together too. In the meantime, Two Ways Home will be bringing their songwriter show, The Round Up, to The Long Road and you should also check out Lewis’ great production work on the new album, ”The Woman I Am’, by Sammie Soravia.
