The Enemy inspired a wave of excitement when they announced that they would play a special homecoming show to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their all-conquering #1 album ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’ at the indoor arena at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday, March 20th 2027. After experiencing phenomenal public demand on the day tickets went on sale, The Enemy now amplify anticipation with the news that the event will feature The Twang as special guests. Old friends and touring partners of The Enemy, The Twang also made a powerful impact upon the 2000s indie-rock scene. A Top 20 breakthrough with ‘Wide Awake’ and then a #8 chart peak for ‘Either Way’ primed their debut album ‘Love It When I Feel Like This’ to power into the charts at #3, resulting in Gold certification. Since then, they’ve released another four studio albums, with further fan favourites such as ‘Barney Rubble’, ‘Back Where We Started’, ‘We’re A Crowd’ and their inspired take on ‘Drinking In L.A.’. They have proven to be a consistent draw in the live arena, with recent gigs including major outdoor shows with The Fratellis, The Sunshine Underground and The Feeling as well as festival dates such as Kendal Calling and In It Together.
The Twang also recently announced details of a new deal with Cooking Vinyl. It will include their brand new album, which is being recorded in Sheffield with producer Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, Yard Act, The Vaccines), and will be released early in 2027.

‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’ changed everything for The Enemy. Beyond its #1 chart triumph and Platinum certification, it is packed with big hits, including the Top 10 ‘Away From Here’ and ‘Had Enough’, as well as numerous other fan favourites and live staples. Its breakthrough led to further success for the trio, including another two Top 10 albums, shows with all-time greats such Oasis and The Rolling Stones, festivals including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, and an NME Award.
After some time away, a new era in The Enemy started with a reunion of their original and only line-up in 2022 with bassist Andy Hopkins and drummer Liam Watts. Last year saw them release ‘Social Disguises’, their first new album in over a decade. Their return was highlighted with support including NME, Radio X, This Feeling’s Video of the Week, Shiiine On’s Track of the Week, Live4Ever, Stereoboard, XS Noize and Songbird HQ.
