The Coral have added a homecoming date to their 388 UK & Ireland Tour, scheduling an appearance at Liverpool’s O2 Academy on Sat 31 October 2026. Their first show in the city since the band curated a one-off, sold-out Late Summer Night’s Scream at the ornate Grand Central Hall last August, fans of the band can join the rush to get tickets from 9.30am this Fri 31 July 2026.
Having initially revealed a rare run of dates a month after surprise releasing their acclaimed, thirteenth album, 388, the band’s tour opens in Sheffield on Fri 2 October 2026. Three arena support dates with The Mary Wallopers are plotted in around an expanded list of headline shows which feature Mozart Estate, founded Lawrence of Denim and Felt, and The Zutons’ Dave McCabe in support.
The Coral have continued to perform at select festivals this summer, not least a celebratory return to the We Are Wirral festival in Birkenhead earlier this month and continue onwards to play Southsea’s Victorious Festival and perform alongside Courteeners at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park. With a previously missing tour date on Merseyside now firmly in the calendar, all of The Coral’s confirmed 388 UK Tour dates are as follows:

Pursuing a purposely low-ley, no hype non-strategy for the release of their latest 11-track album, 388, the album has received widespread fan and critical acclaim since arriving in May.
Fully released after two weeks of intentional secrecy, first stocked unannounced on independent record shop shelves in just one, standard black vinyl format before wider distribution, the album was inspired by the band’s innocent formative days. Reminiscing about the taped compilations they shared, Rocksteady, the earliest Wailers recordings and 60’s girl groups, The Coral enjoyed complete artistic freedom cut loose from outside expectations and commercial considerations.
Recorded to an original 1970’s Tascam 388 tape recorder and employing a ‘warts and all’ policy of retaining the essentially human, profoundly analogue sounds within the studio, mistakes included, the album was revealed with focus on the album opener, Let The Music Play, With a continued sense of introspection and focus on their roots, the later release of a video for Leave It In The Past found the band performing amongst the bargains of Birkenhead Market in the company of director, James Slater.
388 was released into the slipstream of The Coral’s most recent, high-charting album successes, including 2021’s opulent double-album, Coral Island and 2024’s imagined Mediterranean dustbowl film soundtrack, Sea Of Mirrors. Recorded in the company of long-standing co-producer, Chris Taylor at Kempston Street Studios, Liverpool, the band stated that that the album paid a debt, not only to the music they love, but to “the break-ups and break downs” and “the tours, the drugs, the births, the deaths” of the past thirty years.
