Nashville-born singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Alyssa Bonagura today has released her self-produced new album, America’s Backroads, via Lookout Mountain Records. Order HERE

Speaking about the record, Alyssa said “These songs have carried me through so many miles, memories, heartbreaks, healing and highways. They tell the story of the last 10 years of my life. It’s surreal to finally have them out to the world. So proud of this record and grateful to everyone who is a part of it.”

America’s Backroads comprises 13 tracks recorded in Nashville, all co-written and produced by Alyssa, and features multi-Grammy award-nominated blues titan Joe Bonamassa. The album includes co-writes with hit songwriters Jeffrey Steele (Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts), David Sneddon (Lewis Capaldi), Theo Hutchcraft (Hurts), and is a collection of songs that showcase her musicality as a guitar player and singer, as well as the storytelling of her unique life experiences touring the backroads of America.

Special guest on the tour will be US country artist Jackie Lee. Born and raised in Maryville, TN, Jackie found his voice in his dad’s church before moving to Nashville at 17 and signing his first record deal. He went on to release music with Republic Nashville and Broken Bow Records, sending multiple songs to country radio—including two Billboard-charting records. In the midst of his rise, Jackie lost his mother to cancer in 2016—and a year later, faced his own battle. Through it all, he kept showing up: on stage, in the studio, and in the fight. And after time away, he’s back—with something to say.

2026 highlights for Alyssa so far include performing at the Royal Albert Hall as part of Highways Festival, playing to over 10,000 people on the Spotlight Stage at C2C Glasgow, as well as playing alongside The Shires at C2C London. She was part of a country history making moment when The Shires’ single “Getaway Car”, which Alyssa co-wrote, topped the Official UK Country Radio Airplay Chart – a first for a British Country artist. She also produced and co-wrote 4 songs on Kezia Gill’s number 1 UK Country album, out earlier this year.

ABOUT ALYSSA BONAGURA:

Country music has always favoured artists who’ve paid their dues, and Alyssa Bonagura stands as one of the most well-travelled—and hard-earned—breakthrough stories in the genre today. Praised by Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler as “you won’t believe your ears,” and hailed as “an outstanding artist” by legendary “Whispering” Bob Harris, the Nashville-born singer, songwriter, and producer has built a career that stretches far beyond the typical industry narrative.

Raised on a tour bus by her ACM and CMA-nominated parents Baillie & The Boys, Bonagura’s roots run deep—recording a duet with Kenny Rogers at just 10 years old, graduating from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts founded by Sir Paul McCartney, and most recently sharing the famous Bluebird Cafe stage with Vince Gill.

A true transatlantic artist splitting her time between Nashville and the U.K., she’s performed on some of the world’s most iconic stages—from the Grand Ole Opry to Glastonbury Festival—and toured alongside legends including Rod Stewart. She’s made her mark not only as a performer but also as a formidable force behind the scenes, co-writing the No. 1 hit “Getaway Car” for The Shires and producing the chart-topping album All On Red for Kezia Gill.

Her reach extends across the modern country landscape, with collaborations including Caroline Jones of the Zac Brown Band and a country radio airplay hit with Jana Kramer, underscoring both her versatility and commercial instincts. With a voice that cuts straight to the heart and a sound that fuses country storytelling with big, open-tuned guitar work, Bonagura has quietly become one of the most dynamic players in the genre.

Now, with her self-produced album America’s Backroads coming June 5th—arriving alongside a U.K. headline tour already seeing multiple sold-out dates—she steps fully into her own spotlight, not as a newcomer, but as a seasoned artist whose global journey has shaped a voice both expansive and deeply rooted in country tradition, marking her as one of the genre’s most compelling artists to watch.
