Fancy Hagood first arrived in Nashville at age 17 with the dream of becoming an openly queer country artist, and over the past decade he’s built a reputation as one of the genre’s most charismatic and boundary-pushing voices. His critically acclaimed releases include 2021’s Southern Curiosity and the 2024 follow-up American Spirit, which featured collaborations with Michelle Branch and Nickel Creek’s Sean and Sara Watkins. He has garnered attention from Rolling StoneVarietyPeopleGLAADThe Bluegrass SituationHoller and more. Last year, he received the HRC Visibility Award and was the featured cover artist of the Nashville Scene’s Country Music Almanac, with the outlet proclaiming “In 2025, we will need country artists who are unapologetically themselves — like Fancy Hagood.”

Having closed last year with a run of UK and European dates opening for Ivor Novello Award winner and multiple Brit Award nominee CMAT, Hagood just launched his new Apple Country Radio show FANCY after four years hosting Trailblazers Radio. He has found himself embraced by a range of prolific musicians in Nashville and beyond, including Brandi Carlile who called him an “artist to watch” and Elton John who said “We need more people like Fancy.” As he continues to build a devoted international fanbase.

Now, Hagood is gearing up for a major chapter that feels both deeply rooted and completely his own. Stay tuned for even more new music to come.
