To celebrate her birthday today, GRAMMY, CMA & ACM Award-winning country star Carly Pearce surprise drops her rootsy new track, “You Can Have Him,” as a fun treat to give back to her fans. Released today via Blue Highway Records, the sassy track strikes an irresistible balance of sweet and sly, delivering a refreshingly unbothered perspective on a man whose attention tends to wander.

Produced by Pearce alongside Ben West, “You Can Have Him” taps into the classic country sensibilities she was raised with and is anchored by steel guitar, bass, fiddle and dobro, all brought to life through a polished yet punchy vocal delivery. Co-written with Tofer Brown, Carter Faith and Lauren Hungate, the song pairs tongue-in-cheek wit with sugar-coated shade, showcasing sharp lyricism and her candid storytelling style. The official music video, directed by Natalie Sakstrup, premieres today alongside the track, adding a visual layer to the song’s clever and confident narrative.

Of the new song, Pearce said, “Surprise! My fans have done so much for me that for my birthday this year, I wanted to give something back to them. This is a fun one I wrote for the girls. A lighthearted and playful homage to my Kentucky roots and the traditional songs I grew up listening to on the Grand Ole Opry, it’s a fun preview of what’s to come with my next album. Hope you love it as much as I do!”

“You Can Have Him” follows last months’ release of Pearce’s current single and “blockbuster duet” (Billboard) with Riley Green, “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay,” along with “honest anthem” (Rolling Stone) “Church Girl” and the “unfiltered, introspective” (Billboard) “Dream Come True.” As Pearce is readying her fifth studio album, each track continues to define “the tone for her most vulnerable era yet” (The Tennessean).

Next month, Pearce will bring her music overseas on her headlining Inside The Dream Tour in the UK and Ireland, including a historic headline performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, May 16 as part of the Highways Festival. Full dates here:
