Ahead of making his European debut at C2C in Berlin and The Netherlands, break-out country artist McCoy Moore has released a stunner of a song full of gratitude for how his life is shaping up!

“Who’s down here pulling strings up there? Wherever you are I owe you one”  he asks in the chorus of this reflective song, which touches on both his personal and professional life. Is there a guardian angel watching over him maybe, one who ensured he dodged the near fatal car crash he sings about in the opening verse as well as aligning the stars when it comes to his rising career.  “Somebody’s prayin’ for me” he concludes.

McCoy’s classic country sound is shaped by artists including Keith Whitley and Kenny Chesney, and last year saw him signing to Sony Music Nashville,  releasing his acclaimed self-titled EP (which included fan-favourites “John Deere Blue” and “Naming Boats”) and touring with country greats Chase Rice and Kip Moore

But things weren’t handed on a plate to the Florida native. This latest release looks back on years of him, a guitar and a tip jar struggling to make a living, hearing no after no and coming close to walking away from his dream …..a dream that began for earnest back in 2017 when aged 16-year he met a rising star named Luke Combs. Luke encouraged his relaxed-fit authenticity while preaching the make-it-happen gospel, and McCoy took this advice to heart, moving to Nashville a couple of years later where he honed his craft and earned cuts by other artists before his own recording career began.

Not one to take things for granted, McCoy says of this new song

Early last year, it really felt like everything started coming together for me in Nashville and I thought, man someone must be praying for me. I knew there were a few, but there’s got to be some more that I didn’t know about. The song ‘Prayin’ For Me’ is a thank you to everybody that has prayed for me then, and everybody that still does now.” 2026 sees McCoy building on the success of last year, and as well as the aforementioned C2C dates he hits the road Stateside joining HARDY on the “COUNTRY! COUNTRY!” tour. More new music? I expect so! Possibly a visit to the UK? I can only hope!
