Georgia native Brian Collins is set to release his brand-new single, “Free Man,” on Friday, 12th September 2025. The track is a soulful and uplifting reflection on resilience, identity, and finding freedom in life’s heaviest moments. Adding to the song’s depth are special performances from Clay Cook (Zac Brown Band) on organ and Kevin Scott (Gov’t Mule) on bass guitar.

While Collins is widely loved for his authentic artistry, he has also built a respected career behind the scenes. As a producer at Reel 2 Real Studios in Atlanta, GA – recently spotlighted in Billboard as the city’s “go-to” studio – he has dedicated much of his recent time to shaping and supporting other artists’ work. “Free Man” marks his return to the spotlight as a recording artist, while drawing on the richness of his production experience

UK country fans will remember Collins from his warmly received tour with Kezia Gill and his standout performances at Country 2 Country Festival in London, where his heartfelt connection with audiences earned him a lasting fan base.

The inspiration for “Free Man” traces back to Collins’ earlier days at his Blue Light Studio in Douglasville, GA, when he was producing an artist living with paranoid schizophrenia. That artist’s attempt to hike the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail left a deep impression. Reflecting on the experience, Collins recalls asking him what he discovered on the journey: “I never felt more free – I was a Free Man for a while.”

That simple but powerful statement became the heart of the song, captured in lyrics such as:
“I’ve been bruised by the stones that people have thrown, yet I harbor no hate in my heart. ‘Cause the stones they have thrown have built me a road, and this road is all that I own.

“Free Man” is more than a single – it’s the beginning of a new chapter for Brian Collins, kicking off a string of regular releases that will ultimately lead to a forthcoming full-length album.

“Free Man” will be available on all streaming platforms from Friday, 12th September 2025.
