‘The ‘Why Whiskey Why?‘ track blends self-deprecating humor and a telecaster twang with catchy Nashville Sound-inspired hooks. As Rob Wheeler says: “This one’s for every broken heart that’s ever stared into a glass. Country soul, storytelling, and drinking too much – you’ll feel this one.”
His upcoming album ‘Leave Tomorrow’ was written during Rob’s four-month stint in the States, collaborating with Grammy-nominated songwriters Jeff Trott, Steve Dorff and Frank Liddell. Having grown up in England’s North West obsessed with The Beatles while learning Hank Williams and Johnny Cash on guitar, this album represents a full-circle moment bringing Rob’s Cheshire roots and Nashville influences together.
