Frankie Davies is back with another example of her fantastic vocals, this time with a catchy hook.
Frankie’s last release, ‘Never Used to Cry‘, dealt with the feelings of homesickness and guilt when working away from home. ‘Losing Sleep‘ deals with the long distance relationship uncertainties, time differences meaning contacting the other person isn’t always easy, insecurities run amok – losing sleep as imaginations run wild and having to trust that the relationship can withstand these distractions.
Similarly to ‘Never Used to Cry’, it was recorded at St Paul’s Institute in London with her band and the guitar shines through this wonderful track, as do Frankie’s vocals, which are always astounding.
The song was released Friday May 17th and comes off the back of 2 stellar performances in Jersey and London. If you can make Penzance on June 16th I’d highly recommend getting to The Acorn to catch her next live show. I for one cannot wait to see Frankie perform live once again
