I’m Evie and I’m currently a full time student. I study English literature, Philosophy and Ethics, and Music at A-Level. I currently live in Nottinghamshire, but I will be moving out to go to university soon!

My love of country music came from my grandad, to my mum, to me. My first concert was the Dixie Chicks when I was 9 years old, and I haven’t stopped concert-going ever since. A highlight for me was seeing Garth Brooks in Dublin at Croke Park, and other concerts like Brad Paisley at the O2, Kip Moore, Zac Brown Band and Ashley McBryde. Although my all time favourite is Brad Paisley, I’m also a huge activist for feminism and love supporting powerful women in country like Ashley McBryde, Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce and Shania Twain – I love 90s country too!

Outside of country music, I also love artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Taylor Swift and Boygenius. I will be going to the Eras Tour in London this year! I also play guitar and sing myself, and write the odd song. I perform every so often – but am having to focus on studying these days! Writing for Country Lowdown allows me to merge my two favourite things – writing and music!
