Dear Readers, it is with great pleasure that I managed to get a sneak early listen to Morgan Wade’s new single, ‘2AM in London’, and I am here to share my thoughts with you. Some of you may know, but I am a huge fan of Morgan, having interviewed her in 2022 and reviewed her most recent album release ‘Psychopath’.

Morgan has a unique voice that works so well with these slightly melancholy reflective tunes. ‘2AM in London’ is a beautiful song about missing that special person while being on tour. With references to past trauma and addictions it manages to portray a sense of longing but there is a glimmer of hope embedded in the lyrics – “my angry heart took a shot in the dark, And I found what I was looking for” “Hey, let’s lock this thing down, Baby, I gotta give you my heart”.

I am always excited when Morgan releases any music or announces tour information, and the announcement of this was no different, and I am not disappointed. It is a very relatable situation for anyone that has to work away from home and their loved ones and sung about so beautifully.

I can only hope for more releases, and, fingers crossed, more touring over here in the UK.
