Nashville-based artist Stephanie Lambring has announced the release of her new album “Hypocrite” on 19th April via Thirty Tigers, the follow up to 2020’s “Autonomy“ which received much critical acclaim and prompted NPR to declare her as “one of Nashville’s most fearless young singer-songwriters”.
This new ten-track project sees the Indiana native working once again with in demand producer/engineer/multi instrumentalist Teddy Morgan, and will no doubt further establish Stephanie as someone who is not afraid to shy away from tackling some challenging subjects in her songwriting while managing to interject some wit and humour along the way ….. as she says, “I’m not afraid of the uncomfortable. Oddly enough, I think you can actually find a lot of comfort in exploring it, in facing it head on and seeing it for what it really is”.
And this is evident in abundance in the upcoming album’s lead single “Good Mother” in which Stephanie examines the complexities of motherhood via her own thoughts and experiences alongside societal expectations.
Describing the album, Stephanie says she has “leaned hard into my own inconsistencies and shortcomings. It feels more honest and more me than anything I’ve done before”.
