Brand New Blood Pumping Single & Music Video Out Now

Passion rises like a flash flood in CONNER SMITH’s new bluegrass-inflected twang rocker “Creek Will Rise,” out now via The Valory Music Co. The blood pumping Country anthem is full of red-dirt romance and magnetic chemistry as Smith’s swift vocals tell the tale of a couple caught out in a midnight storm – and a turn to the wild side neither will forget. Mixing fiddle and dobro with electric guitars and blazing drums, sparks fly for a timeless story of young love, so strong it hits like a force of nature. Produced by Zach Crowell, Smith co-penned his new single alongside Chris LaCorte, Chase McGill and Parker Welling, which heads to US Country radio this Spring.

“I’ve never been more excited for a song to come out,” shares Smith. “‘Creek Will Rise’ has already taken my live show to a new level and feels like the start of the next chapter of my music.”

During a recent visit to New Iberia, Louisiana, Smith taps into the song’s unlimited store of rollicking, backwoods energy for the accompanying music video, also out today. Directed by his brother and creative director Cooper Smith, the rising singer/songwriter is joined by friends for a rowdy day of air-boating and crawfish boils in the Bayou state.

“This music video is special to me because it is an adventure that my best friend, my brother, and I took down in Louisiana,” said Smith. “It brings the energy of the song to life visually and I’m so happy to have that memory captured as the video for this song.”

As one of Country music’s most hotly-anticipated new artists, Smith is currently on the road in the US headlining his first-ever IF I WENT TO COLLEGE TOUR presented by the Monster Entergy Outbreak tour through the spring. Country Now proclaims, “it was clear from the start of the night that Smith already has a close-knit relationship with his fans, and he will continue to strengthen that bond throughout this run,” adding “he surely gained a few new fans and even earned a few bonus points with others as a result of his effort to interact in the intimate setting and show his true appreciation for their support.” Next month, he’ll support Chase Rise on select dates before joining Luke Bryan’s COUNTRY ON TOUR this summer.

After penning his first song at 6 and scoring a publishing deal at 16, the Country prodigy wrote five of the six songs on his Zach Crowell-produced 2022 debut collection DIDN’T GO TOO FAR (The Valory Music Co.). Featuring his first Top 40 hit “Learn From It,” viral smash “I Hate Alabama,” and fan-favorite “Take It Slow,” which has amassed over 100 million streams to date, the charismatic effort laid an artistic foundation that earned Smith 2022 Artist to Watch status from Spotify, Amazon Music and Opry NextStage, while also making him the only Country artist on Pandora’s Ten List 2022 and securing 2023 recognition from MusicRow Next Big Thing, CMT Listen Up, and more. As Smith continues to grow up in full view of his fans – both on the page and the stage – CMTcalls him “an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.” Looking ahead, he promises fans a new batch of “next level” music, further mixing in-the-moment energy with timeless meaning.
