“The 29-year-old performer is cresting a fast-rising wave of acclaim and claiming her place as a thoughtful singer-songwriter in country’s mainstream.”  –The Tennessean

Rising country singer-songwriter Madeline Edwards is the name on everyone’s lips as the new year begins. She features on an impressive number of “Tips for 2023” lists, including Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artists To Watch: Country Class, You Tube Black Voices Class of 2023, Pandora Artists to Watch for 2023, Entertainment Focus Breakthrough Artists and Ones To Watch in 2023 and Holler’s 23 New Artists for 2023 list.

This follows a stellar 2022 when Edwards graced Spotify’s Hot Country Artist’s To Watch list, CMT’s Next Women Of Country list and was Billboard’s Rookie Of The Month as well as Apple Music’s Riser Of The Month. On top of all of this, she made her first appearance at the Grand Ole Opry in a much-lauded performance and joined Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show Tour in the US.

Now, the excitement is building ahead of Edwards’ UK visit for several appearances at London’s The O2 over C2C (Country To Country) Festival weekend, March 10-12, culminating in a set on the Arena’s Spotlight Stage on the Sunday evening.

Edwards began her UK journey last summer when she played The Long Road Festival to widespread acclaim. Looking forward to her return in March, she commented: “The UK is hands down one of my favorite places to perform in the world. I don’t have to explain my sound or my vision at all… they just get it. I’ve never felt more loved or understood as an artist than when I’m in the UK and I’m freaking ready to be back.”

Crashlanded, Edwards’ debut album, was released in November 2022 via Warner Music Nashville. All 12 songs were co-written by Edwards, including brand-new standouts like “Mama, Dolly, Jesus” and “Too Much Of A Good Thing” as well as previously-released fan favourites including “The Wolves” and “Hold My Horses.”

In an interview with Billboard, Edwards shared, “This particular album may have been in the works over the last couple years, but for me to get to this point and put out this kind of body of work has taken almost a lifetime. I’m very excited for everyone to hear the stories, the musical influences, the time and the experience that has brought me to this moment. Crashlanded feels like my child.”
