Special rendition of ‘Faith In The Wind’ marks opening night in Centurion – watch here

Tour continues next weekend in Cape Town with 2 nights at the GrandWest Arena before heading to Australia and New Zealand, followed by the US ‘Reason To Believe’ acoustic tour in December

Multi-platinum, singer-songwriter Kip Moore kicked off the South African leg of his ‘Reason To Believe’ tour in unforgettable fashion on Saturday evening in Centurion, where he was joined on stage at SuperSport Park by the Mzansi Youth Choir for a special rendition of ‘Faith In The Wind‘ from Moore’s latest album, Reason to Believe, released in May. The one-of-a-kind collaboration – available to watch here – drew an emotional response from the crowd, setting the tone for a run of shows highlighting Moore’s special connection to the country, with two remaining performances in Cape Town this weekend.

Commenting on the moment, Moore shared, “Having the Mzansi Youth Choir join me on stage in Centurion was something really special. Music has a way of bringing people together, bridging cultural gaps, washing clean any differences that hinder communication etc., in a way that nothing else can. Getting to share that moment with such a talented group of kids made the night even more meaningful for me personally. There’s an energy and a spirit they bring that’s very tangible and I’m grateful we got to create something together that I think we’ll all remember for a long time.”

Taking to Instagram, the choir shared, “These are the nights that we live for, and they are moments that never fade away. It was an incredible honour to share the stage with the amazing Kip Moore. From the moment we began working on the song to the final seconds on stage, our hearts were filled with joy and gratitude. Two worlds came together, and magic was created. Here’s to memories that will always be etched in our hearts.”

Moore most recently released 2-song project, ‘Dyin’ On The Vine‘ and  ‘Janie’s Song (Original American Heartbreak)’. Produced by Moore and Thomas ‘Tawgs’ Salter, the project reunites Moore, Tawgs and Hillary Lindsey, who co-wrote both tracks together and embodies Moore’s intrinsic rock n’roll grit, with thought-provoking lyrics that add tension to the tracks.

His second full-length record in two years, Reason To Believe makes good on Moore’s promise to release more music than ever before after signing his new global partnership with Virgin, which launched with 2025’s critically acclaimed Solitary Tracks. Reflective but grounded, Reason To Believe features his most raw, personal, and achingly honest songwriting to date. While recording the album, Moore lost his mentor, champion, first producer and songwriter Brett James. He even named the album after a song James loved that Moore wrote years ago alongside longtime collaborator Dan Couch and Scott Stepakoff.

Album highlights include the guitar-slinging lead single “Levee”, featuring guest vocals by Hillary Lindsey. Billboard hailed it as “a sinewy rock outing that showcases his livewire vocals,” while Music Row called it “swampy, steaming, and rocking, with shades of Creedence and a lot of menacing attitude.” The pensive, soul-stirring follow-up “Faith in the Wind” prompted Country Central to rave “This musing cut is right in his wheelhouse,” while All Country News stated “he doubles down on the kind of restless, soul-searching storytelling that has long set him apart in the country landscape.”

Moore continues the ‘Reason To Believe’ tour this weekend in Cape Town, before heading to Australia and New Zealand. Following his international tour, Moore will wrap the year with his US acoustic tour in December. Tickets are available here.
