Jet Jurgensmeyer is leaning into the kind of song country music was built on – one that feels like a memory the moment you hear it. As his fan-favorite single “Nothing On You” (here) heads to Country radio, the rising artist and award-nominated actor is capturing the warmth, nostalgia, and effortless connection that define a perfect summer night.
Co-written by Jurgensmeyer alongside Grant Bias and Hannah Dorothy Bristow, “Nothing On You” paints a vivid picture of falling for someone who outshines everything else. Set against the backdrop of neon lights and wooden dance floors, the track delivers a timeless yet modern take on love, driven by warm production and an intimate vocal performance.
“‘Nothing On You’ is one of those songs that just feels good,” shares Jurgensmeyer. “It’s about that kind of love that stands above everything else…the kind you don’t question, you just feel.”
Already on the air in markets like Spokane, Salt Lake City, Syracuse, and Portland, Maine, “Nothing On You” starts with the hook, a feature that has bolstered country hits throughout the genre’s history.
“The audience is already streaming it,” says WPOR/Portland PD Jon Shannon. “It’s a fun, up-tempo song that doesn’t sound like a copycat.”
The push to radio comes amid a period of growing visibility for the multi-talented artist and follows his patriotic single “RED,” which was accompanied by cinematic visuals filmed at Galloway Farms in Franklin, Tennessee and directed by the Riker Brothers [watch here and here]. The video features sweeping rural landscapes and symbols of American pride. “RED” has surpassed 1 million streams, marking a major milestone in his continued rise.
In 2024, Jurgensmeyer released his sophomore album THE RIDE: phase 2, a genre-blending collection praised for its emotional depth and inventive songwriting. The album features fan favorites like “Good Days,” “Coffee Bar,” and “Falling Too.” THE RIDE: phase 2 is available now on all streaming platforms here.
