Multi-talent Charles Esten offered viewers a double dose of performances on NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show yesterday (4/10). Making his television premiere of reflective power ballad “One Good Move” with an adjoining interview, he also teamed up with fellow Nashvillian and host Kelly Clarkson for her viral segment “Kellyoke” with a nod to Bruce Springsteen’s “Glory Days.”

Introducing his independent debut album expected later this year with “One Good Move,” Esten’s next release, “A Little Right Now,” is available for pre-save/pre-add and out April 28. Showing yet another facet to the long-awaited full-length project, the Esten, Jacob Lyda, and Brian Maher-penned emotional anthem looks to a higher power as it arrives like a weary, Roots-rocking prayer with Esten capturing a crisis of faith. Wrapped in comparative and contrasting metaphors – from a farmer waiting on rain, to a dreamer whose ship has yet to come in – the gut-wrenching story finds a main character pleading for the strength to carry on, and desperate for something to give, but even with hope fading fast still strong enough to ask for more and knowing just where to turn. Produced by Marshall Altman with reverb-soaked guitars, a slow-burning gospel organ, and the raw, unvarnished vocal of honesty, he slowly builds back the spirit to face life – head on, and without giving an inch.

Readying to bring these new songs to the stage, Esten announces today (4/11) a headlining show at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville, TN, on June 8. With tickets on sale Friday (4/14) at 12 p.m. CT, click here for additional information. Fans can find a full list of Esten’s upcoming shows here.
